On Real Virginia: Apples are the basis of baked goods and ciders
Featured this month on Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program:
- Fresh apples are ready to pick in orchards across the state, and they provide a fresh ingredient for breads and fritters.

- The Virginia shellfish industry generated $53.4 million in sales in 2017, and the center of it can be found on the Eastern Shore.

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network Channel 231 and DirecTV Channel 345, and on selected cable outlets around the state.
It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WBRA Roanoke, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.
